Sister school relationships

Since 2014 we have been actively exploring sister school relationships in Asia.

In 2014 we established a connection with, and teachers visited, a school in Huzhou in China, returning in 2015 with a small group of students. The experience was fantastic for those students, however we were unable to facilitate return visits, or any contact beyond those visits.

We also established contact with, and teachers visited, School Number 1 in Ulaanbaatar, in Mongolia.  Our students supported the school by fundraising to supply two notebooks to facilitate communication between some classes. Teachers from Mongolia visited Auburn in 2015, however it was challenging for classrooms to maintain the connections and the link between the schools lapsed.

In 2016, with the support of an Australian with strong links in both Australia and China, we were excited to visit and sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Longgang School, Hanzhong China.

We aim to establish some online contact between teachers and students and take students to visit the school in September 2017.
