Parent Teacher Meetings

Parents are encouraged to speak with their child’s teacher whenever there is a concern, and informal opportunities will arise or can be organised throughout the year.

We have a formal parent-teacher meeting early in the year and a student progress meeting in early August. This second formal meeting follows the distribution of the mid-year student reports in June. An end of year written report is also provided.

Parents may request an interview at any time. We strongly suggest that contact is made if there is a concern that is bothering a parent, rather than waiting until it potentially becomes a major issue. Parents are asked to write, telephone or email to arrange meetings, so the classroom teacher can be available, and give you their full attention.

General information about the class program is sent home early in the year, with an update each term. This explains the various aspects of the curriculum for that particular year level. Questions are welcome about any of this information.
