Student Engagement & Wellbeing

Each year, in Term 2, students in year 4 – 6 complete the ‘Attitudes to School Survey’, which collects data on how students feel in relation to their school, their learning, health and wellbeing, their relationships and resilience.

With a targeted focus on trust, inclusion and high expectations from the staff over the past few years, we are thrilled to see this coming through in this survey data, with some highlights noted below:

• 94% students responded positively to statements relating to teacher concern
• 98% of students responded positively to statements relating to having an advocate at school
• 98% of student responded positively to statements relating to sense of inclusion
• 98% of students responded positively to statements relating to high expectations for success

In addition to this qualitative data, as they completed the surveys, students also shared insights into what they enjoy about school – which includes their friendships, their teachers, learning tasks that challenge and extend their thinking, and the opportunities to engage in sports, excursions and camps.
